Henry Patterson is Emeritus Professor of Irish Politics at the University of Ulster. Over the years he appeared in many UTV election programmes I was responsible for, and also the current affairs series Counterpoint. For my money he’s one of the best academics looking at politics in Northern Ireland. He’s written extensively and sometimes controversially…but always good-naturedly.
